The Goodness of life Though there is much to be concerned about, there is far, far more for which to be thankful. Though life's goodness can at times be overshadowed, it is never outweighed. For every single act that is senselessly destructive, there are thousands more small, quiet acts of love, kindness and compassion. For every person who seeks to hurt, there are many, many more who devote their lives to helping and to healing. There is goodness to life that cannot be denied. In the most magnificent vistas and in the smallest details, look closely, for that goodness always comes shining through. There is no limit to the goodness of life. It grows more abundant with each new encounter. The more you experience and appreciate the goodness of life, the more there is to be lived. Even when the cold winds blow and the world seems to be covered in foggy shadows, the goodness of life lives on. Open your eyes, open your heart, and you will see that goodness is everywhere. Though the goodness of life seems at times to suffer setbacks, it always endures. For in the darkest moment it becomes vividly clear that life is a priceless treasure. And so the goodness of life is made even stronger by the very things that would oppose it. Time and time again when you feared it was gone forever you found that the goodness of life was really only a moment away. Around the next corner, inside every moment, the goodness of life is there to surprise and delight you. Take a moment to let the goodness of life touch your spirit and calm your thoughts. Then, share your good fortune with another. For the goodness of life grows more and more magnificent each time it is given away. Though the problems constantly scream for attention and the conflicts appear to rage ever stronger, the goodness of life grows stronger still, quietly, peacefully, with more purpose and meaning than ever before.
A man's heartbroken but warm prayer
Dear God
I know that she's out there
The one I'm suppose to share my whole life with.
And in time
You'll show her to me
Will you take care of her
Comfort her
And protect her
Until that day we meet
And let her know
My heart
Is beating with hers
A child's first heart
I thought the cooties thing was true, but it's not
'Cause I kiss my mom all the time, and I don't get cooties.
Some boys are meaner to girls when they like them. Some of them are mean. They pick on you.A lot of the boys are very shy.A lot of the girls have crushes on the boys.First grade girls are the nicest girls ever.I have one crush.I met him in Kinder. They have a freckle on their neck. He's a little cute. She normally wears Frozen shirts. He kinda look like, really cool.It was sun outside so we put on sunglasses, and that just made him cooler.Yeah, yeah. Everything she wears, I like. He's a good drawer, he's good at kickball. She can hang out with anyone.Every girl just likes one category.Dani likes multiple ones.I was playing a game with my friends, and she asked to join.We went to summer camp together. When I talk to him, I get nervous.I feel happy when she's around me.We play games, and we play hide and seek, and we were born at the same time.Sometimes I just know.I told one of my friends, and somebody was listening, and they told him.Whenever I try talking to him, let's just say he runs.I have to tell no one.I would never tell her that I have a crush on her.She would be grossed out.Oh! I got her dollies.I don't like dollies, but I had to.I was just gonna make him a notebook. My friend Greg would play wingman, and he'd find out what the girl that I liked was interested in.I took all the things that she liked, mashed them up on a piece of paper, and I wrote a book for her.She told me that she was gonna leave to a different, to Lego Camp tomorrow. And I was like, very sad.And we're best friends, and I have a crush on her.She doesn't know it.She doesn't know that, but...I think she has a crush on me too. The wedding blessing poem
Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no more loneliness for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two bodies but there is only one life before you.Go now to your dwelling place to enter into the days of your togetherness. And may your days be good and long upon the earth.
I Like For You To Be Still
I like for you to be stillIt is as though you are absentAnd you hear me from far awayAnd my voice does not touch youIt seems as though your eyes had flown awayAnd it seems that a kiss had sealed your mouthAs all things are filled with my soulYou emerge from the thingsFilled with my soulYou are like my soulA butterfly of dreamAnd you are like the word: MelancholyI like for you to be stillAnd you seem far awayIt sounds as though you are lamentingA butterfly cooing like a doveAnd you hear me from far awayAnd my voice does not reach youLet me come to be still in your silenceAnd let me talk to you with your silenceThat is bright as a lampSimple, as a ringYou are like the nightWith its stillness and constellationsYour silence is that of a starAs remote and candidI like for you to be stillIt is as though you are absentDistant and full of sorrowSo you would've diedOne word then,One smile is enough And I'm happy;Happy that it's not true
I Died for Beauty
I died for Beauty, but was scarceAdjusted in the TombWhen One who died for Truth, was lainIn an adjoining RoomHe questioned softly why I failed"For Beauty," I replied"And I for Truth, the Two are OneWe Brethren are," he saidAnd so, as Kinsmen met a NightWe talked between the RoomsUntil the Moss had reached our lipsAnd covered up our names

Edith Cavell was born in a little English village.
She was a clever, hard-working girl and did well at school,
especially in music and French.
After she left school,
her first job was to look after the children of a rich family in Belgium.
The language they spoke was French,
so she found that her school studies were useful.
She,in turn, taught the children to speak English and to play the piano.
After hearing that her father was seriously ill,
Edith returned home to look after him. She then decided to become a nurse.
Then for five years she worked in an English hospital
where she proved to be highly professional at her job.
A Belgian doctor was so impressed
that he invited her to his country to organize a training school for nurses.
The First World War broke out in 1914
and Edith Cavell's school of nursing became a hospital.
She remained there to look after the sick and wounded soldiers.
Edith treated them with kindness.
Between November 1914 and August 1915 she secretly helped
about 200 wounded soldiers and prisoners escape from the Germans.
Later the German army found out what Edith had done and they arrested her.
Finally, the Germans killed her,but they could not kill her memory.
A beautiful statue has been built in Trafalgar Square, London,
in honor of the brave English nurse.
My Mother
My mother is a kind and gentle woman.
She is always very gentle.
She takes good care of all four of her children and keep us all at school.
I have one brother and two sisters. She gives us every comfort.
We all love her and she loves us,too.
My mother has too much to do in bringing us up.
As our family is too poor to keep a servant,
my mother always has much work to do.
She gets up very early and sleeps very late everyday.
She works hard without complaining.
She is also a thrify and industrious woman.
She saves every cent that she can keeps everything in order.
As she has been busy ever since she was young,
she looks older than she really is.
Her face is wrinkled her hair has become silver-white,
but she works as hard as ever.
Often she says to us"Work while you work play while you play.
If you do not work, you will become lazy and of no use to society."
What a piece of good advice it is!
We must always keep it in mind.
What a Busy Morning
Either the first streaming of the sunshine, which broke the dark night,
or the hurried steps on the stairs made by those who hastened to catch the time
brough me back to consciousness, and before my window of heart being opened,
my hand had reached out of the warm quilt
to the watch placed on the bed-stand.
With a sleeping look at the watch,
I repeated the time deep in my heart,"Twenty to seven."
What?Twenty to seven?
Throwing the quilt aside without losing time,
I jumped to my feet and addressed myself at flying speed.
With a basin,in which lay the tooth- brush and toothpaste on my left hand,
and the towel around my neck,I hurried to the washroom.
Putting down the basin and switching on the tap,
I turned to the closet and took out of a bag of instant noodles,
with the purpose of cooking myself breakfast.
Hot vapor rose from the pot.
I stood brushing my yellowish teeth beside the hearth,
monitoring the cooking process.
Few minutes later, the noodles were ready, and washing was done.
Hot as it was,it couldn't hinder me from eating.
As I got to my feet and walked to the door,
I picked up a piece of scroll to wipe off the grease around my rosy mouth
As I was running towards the regular bus stop,
the bus started off and and disappeared in the distance...
