Guidelines: Transfer Money Overseas Via Alipay!
As expats living in China, sending money home is something that every one will face from time to time. However, as with everything in China, it can be quite difficult to figure out the most convenient and painless way to do this.=)
Now you can try sending money via Alipay just following some simple steps as below. No lines, no wasting time!
Since many parts of the interface are in Chinese, we would like to show you the guidelines. Let’s see!
Step 1: Find the access
Open Alipay- Click "More"- find "Intel. Wire"
Step 2: Start to transfer
Click "立即汇款>" (in English "Transfer Immediately")
“支持10种主流外币的国际汇款”（in English "It supports the international remittance with 10 kinds of foreign currency")
Step 3: Fill in the forms
[Information of the Receiver]
Fill in the form step by step with the personal information of the RECEIVER.
Click "填写规范", you can see the samples of the form.
“姓名”(in English "Name of the receiver")- Input the name with English or Pinyin.
“国家/地区”(in English "Country/region")- Click to choose the country/region you need to transfer to.
“地址”(in English "Address of the receriver")- Input the House Number, Street, City, Postcode.
“银行”-Click to choose the "Swift Code" of the receiver.
“账号”-Input the "Account No." of the receiver.
*Attention that blanks with ">" on the right means you just need to choose options instead of input by yourself.
After finishing the information as above, click “下一步” to the next step.
[Transfer Information]
“币种”(in English “Currency”)
“金额”(in English “Amount”) - 50,000USD annual quota for each person.
“用途”(in English “Purpose”) - Click to choose the purpose of the transferring.
“附言”(in English “Postcript”) - Can be empty.
After finishing the information as above, click “下一步” to the next step.
Step 4: Confirm the info
After that, there will be a confirmation interface about foreign exchange document. Just leave it alone to wait for about 30 seconds and then you can click the next step.
Click “下一步”( in English "Next Step") to indicate that you have read this document.
Step 5: Done!
Now you have finished the whole process. Congrats!
Processing Time
It typically takes about 2-3 workdays for the money to arrive but it is occasionally even faster. If it doesn’t arrive within 5 days, just speak with your Chinese friend and have them double check to see if there was a problem and the money will be refunded.
Handling Charge
When transferring, there will be fees around RMB 50-70. This may be subjected to which location you are sending the money to.
