First Thing to Do in 2023: Check This Year's Public Holidays


General Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China notified the arrangement on part of public holidays in 2023.


1. New Year's Day: From December 31, 2022, to January 2, 2023, a total of 3 days.


2. Spring Festival Holiday: From January 21 to 27, a total of 7 days. Jan 28 (Saturday) and Jan 29 (Sunday) will be marked as additional working days to compensate for the long holiday break. 


3. Tomb-Sweeping Day: April 5, a total of 1 day. 


4. Labor Day: From April 29 to May 3, a total of 5 days.  April 23 (Sunday) and May 6 (Saturday) will be additional working days. 


5. Dragon Boat Festival: From June 22 to 24, a total of 3 days. June 25 (Sunday) will be an additional working day. 

6. Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day: From September 29th to October 6th, a total of 8 days. Oct 7 (Saturday) and Oct 8 (Sunday) will be additional working days.
