今天是个特别的日子，小编祝广大女性读者节日快乐！历史上有许多伟大的女性人物，她们个性鲜明，拥有超凡的意志和勇气，散发着人性的光辉。她们启迪世人，值得赞美。今天让我们认识两位了不起的女性，了解她们如何以各自的方式为历史所铭记。

伊娃•贝隆 Eva Perón 

1919–1952

出身贫寒的传奇女士

1919 

Eva María Duarte was born in Los Toldos, Argentina.

伊娃·玛丽亚·杜阿尔特出生于阿根廷的洛斯托多斯。

1926 

Her father, Juan Duarte, died in a car accident.

她的父亲胡安·杜阿尔特死于车祸。

1933 

She was given her first role in a school play and decided to become an actress.

1935

She moved to Buenos Aires and won a role with the Comedias Theatre company.

1936

She travelled around Argentina with the Comedias Theatre company. She also got a part in her first film.

1937

Eva began working as a radio actress with Radio El Mundo. Later that year she started working for Radio Belgrano on their show, Great Women of History.

1944

10,000 people were killed in an earthquake in San Juan. Eva was invited to be in a concert to help the people of San Juan. After the concert, she met Juan Perón for the first time.

1945

Eva talked about Juan Perón’s political ideas on her radio show. On 9th October, Juan’s enemies put him in prison. Eva spoke to 300,000 people from the balcony of the Casa Rosada. Two days later Juan was free. A day later, Juan and Eva were married.

Juan became the President of Argentina.

Evita City was built to give homes to poor families. Women won the right to vote for the first time in Argentina.

Eva started the Eva Perón Foundation, an organization to help poor people.

Eva Perón became very sick and died. She was 33 years old.

1996年，伊娃·贝隆的故事被拍成了电影《艾薇塔》（Evita）（Evita是Eva Perón的昵称），由传奇歌手麦当娜主演。

1884–1966

著名化妆品品牌的创始人

1884 

Florence Nightingale Graham was born in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada.

伊丽莎白·雅顿原名弗洛伦丝·奈廷格尔·格雷厄姆，她出生在加拿大安大略省的伍德布里奇。

1890 

Her mother died when she was 6 years old.

6岁时，她的母亲去世。 

1907 

She decided not to be a nurse and went to live with her older brother in New York City. She started work in a chemist’s shop, then worked for Eleanor Adair in her salon.

她放弃了当护士的想法，转而去纽约投奔哥哥。她先在一家药店工作，后来在埃莉诺·阿代尔的美容院工作。

1909 

She started a business partnership with a friend, Elizabeth Hubbard.

They opened the first Red Door salon on Fifth Avenue, New York City. Elizabeth Hubbard left the partnership. Florence changed her name to Elizabeth Arden.

Elizabeth went to Paris to learn about new cosmetics.

The First World War started and Elizabeth returned to New York. She created her first beauty products with A. Fabian Swanson. “Amoretta” cream for the face was a big success.

1922 

She opened her first salon in Paris, France.

The Great Depression started. Elizabeth Arden decided to spend more money on advertising. She was successful and the company grew and grew.

She started her first perfume, Blue Grass.

There were 29 Elizabeth Arden salons around the world and 108 different products.

The Second World War. Elizabeth Arden created special products for women in the army, such as a bright red colour for the lips, Montezuma Red.

1946 

She was the first woman to appear on the front cover of Time magazine – an important magazine in the USA.

Elizabeth Arden died in New York City. She was 81 years old.
