Keqiao embarks on a "stylish slow living journey"｜柯桥，开启时尚慢生活

The recent release of Zhejiang’s provincial list of "urban traffic slow travel system construction pilot projects" saw Keqiao make the grade once again, becoming the only district citywide to meet the committee’s stringent standards.

日前，浙江省首批城市交通慢行系统建设试点名单公布，柯桥区入选，系全市唯一。

The "urban slow travel system," also known as "slow transportation," places newfound emphasis on pedestrian, bicycle, and public transit as primary modes of urban transportation, effectively addressing oft-occurring conflicts between "fast" and "slow" transportation faced by pedestrians and cyclists attempting to share the road with motor vehicles, through encouraging residents to adopt "walk + public transit" and "bike + public transit" travel modes. If the main roads of a city are its "arteries," then "slow transportation" are its "capillaries," facilitating the smooth circulation of urban transportation and requiring efficient integration between the two.

据悉，城市慢行系统即慢行交通，把步行、自行车、公交车等慢速出行方式作为城市交通的主体，有效解决快慢交通冲突、慢行主体行路难等问题，引导居民采用“步行+公交”“自行车+公交”的出行方式。如果说城市主干道是“主动脉”，那么慢行交通就是“毛细血管”，畅通城市交通大循环，需要二者高效接驳。

According to official data, the planned area for the slow travel system pilot project in Keqiao District extends from Qunxian Road in the north to Golf Course Road in the south, from Keyan Avenue in the east to Dabanku River in the west, covering a total land area of 19.2 square kilometers. Through the construction of the slow travel system pilot project, the district is firmly positioning itself as the leader in a new revolution in "Stylish Slow Living, Seeing Water Towns in a New Light." Formulating comprehensive plans for the urban traffic slow travel system, the Sanhu Greenway slow travel system, and solutions for seamless travel within the "last mile," the ambitious project and its creators aim to create a five-minute slow living circle along the Sanhu Ring through "diverse landscapes, comprehensive scenic areas, and storytelling scenes," achieving a panoramic experience of the integration of urban and scenic areas through expansive "park greenways" and more - providing a one-of-a-kind experience that can only be seen by "taking it slow."

记者了解到，柯桥区慢行系统建设试点规划范围北至群贤路，南至高尔夫路，东至柯岩大道，西至大坂湖直江，总用地面积19.2平方公里。在慢行系统试点建设中，我区以“时尚慢生活·水城新画卷”为定位，先后制定城市交通慢行系统规划方案、三湖绿道慢行系统方案、“最后一公里”内畅方案等，未来将通过“景观多样化、景区全域化、场景故事化”打造三湖环线五分钟慢行生活圈，实现景城融合的“公园绿道”全景体验。

Urban Keqiao’s unique position encircling the famed Guazhu Lake, Daxiao Bank Lake, and Jian Lake, allows for a unique and comprehensive design and development of its slow travel system infrastructure facilities, from greenways to park landscaping, parking and open spaces and more in conjunction with its burgeoning future community, urban-rural landscape, and Asian Games infrastructure construction. Comprehensively building a "highly experiential, multi-functional, and intelligent" slow travel system, 10 projects have seen completion thus far, including the Rose Park, Fire Park, Skate Park, and Dushan Future Community Park, while local administration and officials and their supporting policies and regulations have seen successful improvements district-wide, enhancing the quality and efficiency of its landmark slow travel system concept and construction, create a new, favorable environment for the slow travel system and its future, creating a mode of transportation and related experience that no Keqiao citizen will be able to resist. Coming years will see an exponential acceleration district-wide in the construction of its slow travel transportation system, combining commuting, fitness, and leisure functions in a single, seamless experience, promoting the humanization and "greenification" of urban transportation facilities, improving the quality of the area’s urban infrastructure, and infusing the slow travel system with limitless depths of local culture, uniqueness, and historical tales… vigorously and tirelessly creating a provincial-level "slow travel model" uniquely in step with Keqiao’s lightning-fast development.

此外，柯桥区以瓜渚湖、大小坂湖、鉴湖为核心，结合未来社区、城乡风貌、亚运基础设施建设工作，统筹推进绿道、公园绿化、停车位等慢行系统基础配套设施建设，全面打造“重体验、多功能、智慧化”慢行系统。截至目前，已建成月季公园、消防主题公园、滑板公园、独山未来社区口袋公园等10个项目。在配套政策制度上，我区相继完善出台了相关文件，以推进慢行系统建设提质增效，营造良好交通慢行系统环境，调动公众参与慢行系统积极性。接下来，全区将加快建设集通勤、健身、休闲功能于一体的慢行交通系统，推动城市交通设施人性化、绿色化建设，改善城市基础设施品质，使慢行系统有文化、有特色、有故事。奋力打造全省“慢行样板”，让“慢行”与柯桥的城市发展同行。
