Welcome to Wellington College International Hangzhou
Dear prospective parents,
I am delighted that with this post, we formally launch our official WeChat account for Wellington College International Hangzhou. I look forward to all the posts that will be sent out from this date in regard to our wonderful new school and the progress we will be making.
It is not long until we open the school to pupils (3rd September) and at the moment all our teachers are hired and here in Hangzhou attending Induction at the school. I have been hugely impressed with their professionalism up to this point as well as their clear shared desire to make Wellington College International Hangzhou the very best International school here in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China and indeed the world.
In terms of bus, catering and uniform services, these have been organised already. Our facilities are ready and second to none and all our resources are here and being put into classes. We are as ready to go as we can be and will spend the next month on Induction with our new teachers to ensure that they are as ready as they can be to commence classes on 3rd September.

The service and finance teams will be contacting you in the coming weeks for billing, registration on bus lines and providing uniform shop details and the next time we will see you is for our Orientation Day on August 23rd where we will introduce all the teaching staff to pupils and parents, go over various routines for the first day as well as allow the non-academic team to finalise various organisational processes.
I would like to reiterate in this post our firm desire to commit to the following points. Although no school is perfect, our aim is to improve each day and aim to be the very best school we can for the children in our care. Our commitment is to understand that each child is special and unique and we therefore will teach them as individuals. We understand the importance of communication with parents and we wish to teach the whole child. And lastly, we place great importance on the ‘extra’ curriculum through our focus on co-curricular activities, trips, events and special performances at the school.

Wellington College International Hangzhou
Wellington College International Hangzhou officially opens its doors to pupils in September 2018, offering a world-class international education for children of expatriate families from the ages of 5 to 18. In Pre-Prep and Prep-School, the College follows the English National Curriculum, which is enhanced through the cross-curricula International Primary Curriculum. In Senior School, pupils will complete the IGCSE and then choose to follow either the IB Diploma Programme or A Levels, depending on their needs. As with all Wellington College schools, the Wellington Values and Identities form the core of the holistic education provided by Wellington College International Hangzhou.
