报告人介绍

Nikolai K. Myshkin教授,白俄罗斯国家科学院院士。现担任白俄罗斯国家科学院金属聚合物研究所摩擦学系主任,接触力学、摩擦学领域重要学者。
Nikolai Myshkin has joined the Institute for Problems in Mechanics of USSR Academy of Sciences in Moscow and he has got Ph.D in Tribology with Professor Igor Kragelsky as a scientific advisor in 1977. Then he has moved to Metal-Polymer Research Institute (MPRI) of Belarus National Academy of Sciences in Belarus where he has got D. Sc in Tribology (1985) and Full Professor in Materials (1992). He was a director of MPRI (2002-2017) and has been elected as a Fellow (Academician) of the Belarus National Academy of Sciences (2009). His most important research results relate to contact mechanics of rough surfaces at the presence of adhesion, theory of electrical contacts, mass-transfer at boundary lubrication, tribology of polymers and polymer composites. His research has an applied value promoting more reliable, energy-saving, and ecologically-friendly tribosystems. He is a chairman of Belarus Council on Tribology, Vice-President of the International Tribology Council and deputy chairman of Tribology committee of the International Federation on Machines and Mechanisms. Professor Myshkin cooperate with major tribology centers in USA, UK, and Europe; Tsinghua Unversity, Nanjing NUST, and Lanzhou SKLSL in China. He published more than 250 papers, 20 monographs and textbooks, 60 patents.

内容介绍

Sustainable development is considered by UN General Assembly in 2015 as achievement of 17 goals. Tri-bology – multidisciplinary research and engineering concept combining mechanics, surface physics, and chemistry, has become one of the components of the UN industry and innovation goal (SDG9). The eco-nomical losses related to friction and wear are estimated as 3—5 % of GNP in industrial nations, as well as quarter of all the energy. Increase of machinery wear-resistance, reduction of engines exhaust, applica-tion of ecologically-friendly lubricants can be used in achieving the SDG9. The efficient way to decrease losses in energy and materials is to replace the heavy metal parts of the machinery and vehicles with much more light parts made of polymer composites. There are still problems in prediction of polymers behavior due to their mechanical behavior with strong adhesion and thermal influence on it.  Nanofillers affect sig-nificantly the behavior of polymers at friction, formation of friction transfer layers (tribofilms), and finally the tribological performance of the composite. Nanosilicate components (especially natural clays and min-erals) are taking more attention as fillers to polymer matrices, for example for promising PEEK-based nanocomposites for tribological applications. Another direction in green tribology is development of eco-logically-friendly lubricants. Nowadays the usage of mineral oils is limited by many countries in forestry and agriculture due to ecological reasons. The applications of oils and working fluids based on plant raw materials are stimulated. It is shown that such oils are comparable with the mineral ones and show good anti-wear performance due to formation of polymer tribofilms.
