Much of the criticism, from post-Keynesians, Shackle（沙克尔） and others, of mainstream economics has taken its point of departure to be the radical uncertainty which shrouds the future. This uncertainty is seen as so impenetrable as to render absurdly irrelevant all those neoclassical theories built up from individual optimizing decisions, assumed to be made between well-defined alternative future possibilities. 

参考译文：

后凯恩斯主义者（包括沙克尔和其他人）对主流经济学的许多批评，都是以笼罩着未来的根本不确定性为其出发点。这种不确定性被认为如此难以穿透，使得那些建立在个人最优决策之上的所有新古典理论都荒谬而无足轻重，因为个人最优决策被假定是在确定的各种不同的未来可能性之间进行决策。

简要讲解：

1、from post-Keynesians, Shackle（沙克尔） and others, 这是插入语，不影响主句的结构。第一句的主语是：much of the criticism of  mainstream economics 对主流经济学的许多批评

2、point of departure 出发点

3、so ... as to ... 如此……以至于

4、absurdly irrelevant 是 all those neoclassical theories 的宾语补足语，为了句子结构平衡和强调，提前到宾语之前。

重点词汇：

1. render: to cause someone or something to be in a particular condition  使成为；使变得；使处于〔某种状态〕

2. impenetrable:  not admitting of penetration or passage into or through 不能穿透的，不能逾越的。
